This is a great watch. The face is large, very quick & easy to read. It has the largest face of any G-Shock I've owned, yet it easily slides under any of my shirt sleeves. Very happy with the purchase. This is my first all-analog G-Shock. I find the second hand feature very useful and the fact that it is also used as the stopwatch indicator is very cool. The 1/20th stop-watch measurement means he second hand will stop at the nearest "3-second division". In other words 1/20the of one second is represented by the second-hand facing the 3-second mark. Confused? I was too at first, because I am so accustomed to a digital stopwatch. The slide portion of the buckle is a minor annoyance, it constantly slips off the band. I squeezed the slide down a tad on one side in an attempt to tighten things up a little, but it seems to have had little or no effect. (I have posted a preliminary picture of the effect, I may give it another squeeze on the other side of the slide, I will post another pic and report back if it's needed.)Day to day use of the alarm, countdown timer, and the world time feature is easy and intuitive. Initial set up of the watch was easy after watching the YouTube videos. (Just search "GWA1000") I like the fit and feel of the resin band, but it does give the watch a plastic look. The red bumper on the left side, still scratching my head on that color choice. The night glow works well enough to read the watch under most low light conditions. A built-in light would be a plus, that and a battery meter are the only features I might add.The countdown timer and alarm are too quiet, I don't see how they could awaken anyone but the lightest sleeper. (Seems like each G-Shock I buy is quieter and quieter.)The nightly reception of the time signal is successful 100% of the time where I live in NE Oregon if I place the watch near a window (75% success rate if the watch is away from a window). Many positives, very few negatives: 4 stars!
